Fetal development 3D animations

For a pregnancy and parenting website and app

41 weeks of pregnancy animated

We created 3D animations for What to Expect, part of the Everyday Health Group. These animations show week-by-week the growth of the fetus in the womb so that expectant parents can track their baby’s development in utero.

Trimester-by-trimester visualizations

We created 3D animations to visualize the different stages of fetal development, from the first trimester through to the third trimester. These visualizations showcase the development of the fetus's organs and systems and illustrate the changes that occur as the pregnancy progresses.

The brand

Our animations were created to work alongside talking head video footage of What to Expect’s founder, Heidi Murkoff, and branded motion graphics.

The videos help parents understand what their baby is doing at different stages of the pregnancy on a week-by-week basis.

The videos feature both on the What to Expect website as well as their pregnancy tracking mobile app.

Inclusive and relatable

We worked closely with the client to make sure that our work provided an accurate depiction of the diverse range of people who view their content and use their app.
